1976 Kenworth/Pierce Pumper



Clinton Volunteer Fire Department's 1976 Kenworth/Pierce Pumper.
This legendary unit sports a Detroit Diesel 8V92 400 hp engine and a Hale 2000 GPM
single stage pump. Engine 252 went into service in 1976 as a front line pumper. In 1985,
it was re-identified as Water Supply 25. It is dispatched on all multiple alarm fires and any
non-hydranted areas in Prince Georges County, Maryland. This truck carries two nicknames,
"The Whisper Jet" and the "KW", and is the only one of its kind built in the world.
She was retired in 2008 after serving Clinton, Maryland for 32 years.
