1957 FWD Pumper


Billy and Belinda Gertz's 1957 FWD Pumper.
Unit has a 750 gpm pump along with a Cummins diesel engine
and a 5 speed transmission. Engine 283 served the community of
Odenton, Maryland until the mid seventies. This truck then went to
the Harwood / Lothian VFD as their very first piece of apparatus.
Billy spent over three years, on his own, restoring this beast. He did
all the work himself. It's hard to believe that this unit almost ended
up as a tow truck.
